You can’t go wrong with a nice bit of baked fish. This went perfectly with the sweet potato. A magical pairing, harissa and sweet potato.
- Cut a couple of sweet potatoes into chunks
- Soften some butter
- Bash and finely chop a garlic clove
- Chop some coriander
- Juice a lemon
- Preheat the oven to 180ºc (fan)
- Get harissa, hake, oil & seasoning ready
Boil the sweet potato chunks until almost cooked.
Mix the butter, coriander garlic, harissa, lemon juice and seasoning.
Pop the potatoes in a roasting dish, drizzle with oil and salt and cook for about 20-30 minutes.
Arrange the fish on top of the potatoes and spread the harissa mixture over the fish. Bake for around seven minutes until the fish is cooked through.
Here’s the original Good Food Mag recipe, I think adding the ginger to the mash might have been one flavour too far and detract from the fish.
