Back to food now, I’ve not been in the mood for chatting about food so I’m really behind.
Instead of going for the Frankfurter style jarred ones, we bought some good quality Lincolnshire sausages from the market and used those. With a little ketchup on top of the dog, topped with honeyed caramelised onions and finished with a good squirt of French’s mustard, these were good.
Incidentally, the term ‘Dog’ according to Wikipedia “…has been used as a synonym for sausage since 1884 and accusations that sausage makers used dog meat date to at least 1845” I’ll leave you with that snippet of info.
