Sausage & Bean Casserole

Today was supposed to be carpet fitting day. We didn’t sit around waiting as we were told we would get a call half an hour before he was due. At about 4pm, as I was starting to panic that we had missed him when we went to the market, we called to find out what was happening and were told he would be there in half hour. At 5pm he called and asked if he could come Sunday. AAAAARRRRGGHH! One more bloody day falling over boxes.

I made this meal at about midday in the knowledge that should he turn up half way though cooking, it wouldn’t spoil. The recipe was in April’s BBC Good Food that Mr S threw away so I just winged it.

Brown some chipolata sausages.

Add cannellini beans, chopped tomatoes, smoked paprika, brown sauce, brown sugar and seasoning.

Give it all a good stir, adding some vegetable stock if required. Bring it to the boil then turn down and leave to cook for as long as you fancy.

Serve with a crusty bread.

Using CHIPOLATA SAUSAGES, CANNELLINI BEANS, SMOKED PAPRIKA, BROWN SAUCE, BROWN SUGAR, VEGETABLE STOCK and CRUSTY BREAD…
