Doncaster Goes Fine Dining…

… down at No. 7 at the Rum Rooms – We only decided to go here whilst sat in a bar in Sheffield yesterday afternoon and I’m so glad we did.

In my opinion the centre of Doncaster has been crying out for something like this. An intimate rum bar with a intimate restaurant (there’s only about eight tables) I really hope it succeeds and with food like this I don’t see why not.

The owner greeted us in the bar and chatted to us with great pride. He was clearly proud of his chef and with good reason. Every single thing about the food and the presentation was outstanding. Well worth the money too.

Masala Seared Scallops with Cod Cheek Pakora
Jerk Marinated Spatchcock Chicken
Seared Scallops, Pancetta., Apple Puree & Pig Trotter Croquette
Spiced duck and Savoury Apple Tart

This was dinner…11th March 2014.

    1. I didn’t think it was too bad for a special occasion and cheaper than a lot of places. About £6-7 for a starter and £12-15 (If you miss out the steaks 😉 ) for a main.

Any thoughts?
