Sausages with White Beans

You can’t go wrong with a sausage stew. You can’t go wrong with a sausage stew that someone has ready for you when you walk in the door from work.

Although Mr S has been busy on his 2 days off work he still found the time to do dinner. Which is great as I can’t get him out of his ‘office’ at the moment. There was also a beer to go with it!

I’m told this is what he did:

Brown some sausages, slice them lengthways then set aside.

Pop some oil & butter in the pan & fry some stale bread for croutons. Remove & set aside.

Put quartered fresh tomatoes, a bashed garlic clove & a tin of chopped tomatoes in a pan. Bring it to the boil & reduce to a simmer.

Add grilled artichokes from a jar, a chopped pepper, some black olives & the sausages. Cook for 10 minutes.

Add a tin of cannellini beans & cook for another 10 minutes. Season & add some torn basil. Serve with the croutons.



It’s obvious he shares my love of cooking. He wouldn’t guest blog it for me though.

It was very nice indeed. Both the flavour & not having to lift a finger.
