Sea Bass, Crispy Pancetta, Sweet Potato Mash & Asian Greens then 1 Minute Berry Ice Cream

It’s Monday tomorrow and Mr S has 3 days off work. So he chose to cook this for me.

It’s from Jamie Oliver 30 Minute Meals and there is the full recipe here. If you’ve never cooked a Jamie recipe before, then please do. I can’t say I’ve ever made anything of his and not enjoyed it.

Also, don’t expect to take only 30 minutes unless you have got EVERY little thing ready like you’re hosting some TV programme.

I’ve posted the recipe link, here’s our differences:

I forgot to buy the asparagus, I thought about it as I was stood at the veg stall, I just didn’t say it out loud, why didn’t she read my mind! So we used green beans in our Asian greens. Personally, I think this is a better idea Jamie.

We don’t own a microwave so we boiled the sweet potatoes, we still popped the lime in the water.

Mr S didn’t write coriander on the shopping list so we used a mix of mint and parsley. It still worked.

It’s a great idea for the quick ice cream but wow did that have a kick! My eyes turned into the back of my head more than once. It was very tart.

We didn’t bother with the lemonade, we had a bottle of wine.

Thanks Mr S, future Lisa won’t complain that you were sending photos of you and your beers in the sunshine whilst she slaved away at work as this meal was immense.

This, all after a lovely day out at Wentworth Castle.
